Second Friday ArtAbout on September 13 

Davis Downtown presents 2nd Friday ArtAbout, a monthly self guided artwalk, exploring art installations and receptions at galleries, art co-ops, and businesses in Davis. This free event offers art, activities, live music, complimentary wine and refreshments, and opportunities to converse with featured artists, which will vary from location to location!

The Avid Reader is happy to announce our participation in your Davis ArtAbout experience, we will be continuing with featured artist Cathy Speck! She will also be performing with her duo Duval Speck!

Author Event - The Last Train to London with Meg Waite Clayton

The Avid Reader will be welcoming Meg Waite Clayton and her latest novel of historical fiction based on real events, Last Train to London, in-store on Friday, September 20th. The hour-long event begins at 7:30 p.m. at The Avid Reader, 617 2nd Street in downtown Davis. It is free and open to the public.

The Avid Reader will be welcoming William Bryant Logan and his latest work of non-fiction, Sprout Lands: Tending the Endless Gift of Trees, in-store on Saturday, September 28th. The hour-long event begins at 7:30 p.m. at The Avid Reader, 617 2nd Street in downtown Davis. It is free and open to the public.
