Community Lecture with Diamond Way Buddhist Teacher, Amadeo Rosenheim.

The Avid Reader is happy to welcome Diamond Way Buddhist teacher Amadeo Rosenheim for a lecture on Buddhism and meditation on Monday, February 19th at 7:00 pm.

The lecture will present Buddha's teachings in a clear and modern way and will end with a guided meditation for about 20 minutes in order to put the theory into practice. A Q&A will follow. No prior experience with Buddhism or meditation is necessary.

By using practical tools like meditation to gain insight and develop compassion and wisdom, we — all of us — can tap into our potential to realize a state of lasting, unconditional happiness known as enlightenment.

In Buddhism, meditation means “effortlessly remaining in what is.” This state may be brought about by calming and holding the mind, by realizing compassion and wisdom, or by working with the body’s energy channels and meditating on Buddha forms of light and energy.

Amadeo Rosenheim was born in 1981 in Madrid Spain. He studied physical theater and movement. Amadeo met Lama Ole Nydahl in 2005 in London. In 2008 he moved to Cancún, Mexico where he has lived since, helping to establish Buddhist centers in the south-east region of the country. In 2013 Lama Ole asked him to teach.

Beginners in Buddhism are welcome.
