Author Event - The Haunting of Walter Rabinowitz by Judie Rae

The Avid Reader will be welcoming author Judie Rae and her latest novel, The Haunting of Walter Rabinowitz, in-store on Friday, February 7th.

More about The Haunting of Walter Rabinowitz:

Rae’s The Haunting of Walter Rabinowitz shares a story of obsessive love set in the 1980’s. Effie Latimer tries to follow the wisdom of her heart, even though female heroes and explorers are seldom seen in her experience.

After her return to college, in pursuit of another post-graduate degree, she is wooed by one of her professors who then drops her. Effie determines that she will enact a non-malicious (but troubling) revenge on her mentor.

This is an at times humorous psychological study of a woman enduring loss, in which she discovers that ultimately each of us makes our own myths.

Betsy Graziani Fasbinder, author of Fire & Water: A Suspense-filled Story of Art, Love, Passion and Madness, states “Judie Rae writes the internal landscape of the heart with keen insight and empathy. This is the story of the confusion that often comes with love and the will to forge through it and come out the other side.”
