Author Event - Buck, Buck, Moose with Hank Shaw

The Avid Reader is happy to welcome back author Hank Shaw for a presentation, discussion, and signing of his newest book, Buck, Buck, Moose: Recipes and Techniques for Cooking Deer, Elk, Moose, Antelope and Other Antlered Things on Friday, December 16th starting at 7:30 p.m as part of his nationwide tour celebrating the release of his newest cookbook.

This is not your father's venison cookbook. Buck, Buck, Moose is the first comprehensive, lushly photographed, full-color guide to working with and cooking all forms of venison, including deer, elk, moose, antelope, and caribou.

About the Author: Hank Shaw, a former restaurant cook and political reporter, is the 2013 James Beard Award winner for Best Food Blog (Hunter, Angler, Gardner, Cook), and the author of Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast and Duck, Duck, Goose: Recipes and Techniques for Cooking Ducks and Geese. His work has been published in Food & Wine, Petersen’s Hunting, Garden & Gun, Organic Gardening, The Art of Eating, Field & Stream, Sactown, Pheasants Forever magazine, Delta Waterfowl magazine and several other publications.
